Are you looking for someone to help you and your birth partner during labor?  Is there a possibility due to travel by your birth partner that you may need a backup plan for labor?

I believe that most of the time, with proper preparation, most couples who chose midwife centered care do not need a doula.  Yet, sometimes a birth can be particularly trying and having a backup doula can make a huge difference.  Therefore I offer my services to couples as a backup plan when perhaps you just need an extra set of hands, or labor has gone longer than expected.

Requirements:

1) You and your birth partner attend either Midwife Centered Childbirth (class fee included in doula package) and/or have a private session with me (additional fee of $75).

2) You intend to have a natural childbirth.

3) You pay a non-refundable deposit of $100 prior to your labor.

  Cost: $600 includes childbirth class, phone meeting with me, email support during pregnancy, and attendance at your birth.  Payment of doula services must be received up front, however, you may write 2 separate checks for $100 (non-refundable deposit) and $500.  If you decide not to have me at your birth because you are doing great without me, I will send you back your $500 check. 

Hourly Rate:  If you decide at the last minute you want some help during labor, I MAY be available at a rate of $50/hour.  You must have been a student of mine to qualify for this option.  There is no guarantee that I can come at the last minute but I will do my best.
